Well, we finally got a chance to see Alan today, after he wouldn't cooperate with the ultrasound tech last time. He is pretty chubby, and has some big paws! He's a little over 2 lbs now, so I am freaking out at the thought of how much bigger he's going to get! The important thing is that he's healthy and growing like he's supposed to...

Halloween 08
So, as it was our last halloween without having a little one to dress up, we decided to take advantage and go out for the holiday. We went with several friends to the Wrigley Mansion for the annual party thrown by Mix 96.9. It was packed, I heard that 1,700 tickets were sold! It was a blast.
Scott was a dirty cop, and I was a pumpkin. The choices for maternity costumes are really lame, so I went with the best option that I could find. It was either this, or a bowling ball! I don't know when Halloween turned into an excuse for girls to dress like street walkers, but I guess I'm just getting old...
I can't wait for next year when I have a little lobster, or incredible hulk to dress up and show off!

Alan, Allen, Allan, whatever...
So after some research, and polite discussion... We have decided to spell the babys name Alan. My grandpas birth certificate has it as Allen, but he spelled it with an 'a' his whole life. It's the thought that counts right? So I hope not to confuse too many people with the title of the blog, but I can't figure out how to change it....

I'm new to this...
So after a little gentle nudging from my mother-in-law Penny, I decided to create a blog to let people know how things are going. It seems like it's taking forever, because I'm so anxious to meet him! Let me catch you up...
We are definitely having a boy, and have pictures to prove it. At about 20 weeks now, he is roughly the size of a banana, and I am roughly the size of a house (At least I feel that way). From the last ultrasound, everything looks good and he seems to be perfectly healthy. He didn't really want to cooperate with the tech, but we ended up getting a good look at all of the important stuff like heart chambers etc. We've chosen the name Allen Webster Legge. Allen is my grandpas middle name, and Webster is Scott's grandpas middle name. I'm just bummed that my grandpa won't get to meet him in person, but I'm sure he and my grandma will be there in spirit.
So.. with all of the family so spread out, this is probably the best way to keep everyone up to date on what is going on in this unbelievably long wait... more to come!
